When we got together for Nathan’s senior photos last year, we started planning this session!!  Patty and Alan will be celebrating their 25th wedding anniversary in just a few days so what better way to mark the occasion than with a family photo session!!!  I have a dear friend who refers to her wedding anniversary as their family’s birthday and I think that’s T.H.E. sweetest thing ever!!  I love that visual of celebrating as a family how it all began.  Patty and Alan, did you have any idea on your wedding day that 25 years later you’d have these three amazing kiddos!?  Gosh this family is SO much fun!!  They kept me laughing the entire session!

To say I was stressing out right before this session is an understatement!!  Literally as I was driving to the park, the skies opened up and it was downpouring!!!  But I could see a little bit of blue sky peeking out so I kept driving and kept praying!!!  Please, Lord, it wasn’t supposed to rain today!!!  The two big kids are home from college and even Grandma was able to make it to the session!!  As I pulled into the parking lot, the rain cleared and we had a perfect fall evening for pictures (even if a couple of us left with somewhat wet booties).  It was amazing!!

So Happy Birthday, Gilmore Family!!  Here’s to the next 25!!!
