What a perfect day for a wedding!!

Krista and Andrew were married on a beautiful fall day at the Barns at Timberneck in Surry. We had never shot there but, oh my gosh, it did not disappoint. The rustic barnes tied in so perfectly with Krista and Andrew’s cowboy boots, burlap, and sunflowers. I loved the long, family style tables set up for the reception. To me, that really brought together the theme for the day: family.

These families are just so wonderful to watch. All of them are so close and it was awesome to see Krista and Andrew’s families truly become one. Even over the months of planning, it was clear to me how loving these guys are and have fully embraced the idea of gaining a daughter and a son. The day of the wedding was no different. The love of family was the foundation of every aspect of the day. Krista’s grandmother was honored with a beautiful brooch on Krista’s bouquet. Andrew’s brother who is serving in the military was able to facetime during the ceremony. Krista was able to share a special first look with both her dad and her Pop Pop before the ceremony (and oh my goodness, get the tissues ready!). The way Pop Pop looks at her will melt your heart. Sometimes family is who God blesses you with when you’re born and sometimes it’s the folks He sends to you along the way. Krista and Andrew, you guys are blessed with both.
